28 and a half is a recreation.
A recreation of the world of theatre, literature, cinema, the circus... love, life, death. The existential doubt that we try to explain through art and theatre. This is what happens to Federico, who, approaching fifty, is in the midst of a personal and creative crisis. He is disoriented and unable to know what he has, until he meets Antonietta, a pure soul who leads her difficult life with simplicity. Together they embark on a journey through lost paradises, through multiple fictitious worlds that conjure passionately around a great question: How do you go about being happy?
28 and a half is a party of passages, musicians and comedians that move us, of melancholy and hope for our fragile existence. It is an inquiry into the meaning of art and life from the world of Federico Fellini and his 8 1/2 . "Non c'è fine. There is no beginning. There is only the infinite passion for life", Fellini said. And we feel that way and we are bringing back one of the hits of the 13/14 season to premiere it at the Théâtre National La Colline, in Paris. Faced with the harsh reality, we have felt the need to return to that capricious and uncertain turn of art, which returns us to life like an exhalation.
Feel, ask and die.
Clap, laugh and move on. Always a step and a half.
We celebrate 28 and a half !
